From Conservative Tribune: According to The Hill, the Obamas implored the American people to contribute both ideas and funding for their “startup for citizenship” project that will be headquartered at the yet-to-be-constructed presidential library in the South Side of Chicago. The Obama Foundation was initiated in 2014 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, ostensibly with the goal of overseeing the completion of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago — a library, museum and archive of his presidency with space for additional programs and initiatives to be added later.
Just days out of the White House, the Obamas have seemingly already begun work on those additional programs and initiatives, launching a webpage on the foundation’s site named “Your Voice,” which encourages his supporters to submit “your ideas, your hopes, your dreams about what we can achieve together.”
Does he really want to hear some of the suggestions he might get? The FBI is still investigating the questions of pay-to-play and foreign government donations to the Clinton Foundation. The Clinton Global Initiative is now laying off workers and plans on closing its doors soon, coincidentally with Hillary Clinton losing the election and no longer being an avenue to power. Now, of course, one cannot know if the Obamas will use their foundation the way the Clintons used their foundation. Or if they plan to use it as their own personal influence-peddling scheme. But perhaps he should take the hint that the foundation idea didn’t work out so well, ultimately, for Hillary…
